The auction of 1125 lots will be one of the largest selection of lots offered by our Northwest operation.

The sale will include Part III and the last part of the Howard Mader Estate of Northwest postal history, particularly Oregon. This group of 224 lots will start the session on Sunday at 11:00 a.m. It will be highlighted by some very scarce or unique town usages, many originally from the "Ed Payne" collection.

The session will continue with U.S. singles and Postal History; Foreign and British Commonwealth singles including handpainted Karl Lewis covers; United States collections including cover sections of Military related, First Days & Cachet makers; strong postcard grouping (80 lots featuring cards from Howard Mader's collection); ephemera, and over 130 U.S. collections (with Postage and "Back of the Book" sections), Foreign, Commonwealth, and Worldwide collections including cover lots. The auction will conclude with literature and 26 worldwide coin and currency lots.

Highlights include; Oregon state collection in 2 albums estimated at $1500, U.S. #85C mint with PSE cert. estimated for $8000, #122 mint with PF cert. valued at $3500, 1904 Louisiana Purchase mint never hinged blocks of 4 valued at $3000, U.S. WWII Army Air Force collection estimated for $3000, U.S. collections estimated for $8000 and $6750, G.B. & Commonwealth collection valued at $7500.
