" X " cancel, no postmaster's endorsement and no arrival marking, light soiling, key to this cover is docketing on flap, "Burgess and Deloraine/Tender/for/Road/John Lamprey", Fine. John and Martha Lamprey were among earliest settlers in Green's Creek/Burgess District, arriving in 1842, Burgess was later renamed Port Sorell, track from Deloraine passed through John Lamprey's property "Hill Farm".
