"Paid 6" at upper right addressed to Mineral Point WI informing a James Foley of his safe arrival in Oregon, very interesting 4 page letter describes trip across plains, cholera epidemic that killed (his estimate) of four thousand deaths out of 160,000 crossing that year, major edge wear causing tears throughout letter, staining throughout, Whittlesey type 2, Fine.
